EDUCATION / SCHOOLS TRAINING
EDUCATION / SCHOOLS: These resources are designed to teach students/young people from 14 years upwards to maximise their learning opportunities by identifying, confronting and sharing what they consider to be their BIG SECRET(S) and empowering them to identify someone they feel they can speak to who can actually do something about it. To date these resouces have been integrated into lessons in PSHE, Citizenship and Business Enterprise. While outside of the curriculum these resources have supported the various inclusion teams and units.
Currently our resources are being used by Secondary Schools, Colleges, other Further Education Groups, Pupil Referral Units and the Education Business Partnership. In delivering 'Beyond THE BIG SECRET©' which is a bespoke personal development training programme, we work closely with the professionals and practitioners in Education to ensure that the content is relevant and suitable to the needs of the participants. To date this programme has been used as a full programme or in part by: Secondary Schools, Colleges, Pupil Referral Units, The Pathways Programme, Special Schools and Behaviour Intervention / Inclusion Teams.
The initial focus of the programme is always the real life challenges that THE BIG SECRET© creates and how these challenges gradually eats away at self-confidence and self-esteem. The programme then progresses to what lies beyond THE BIG SECRET© which is developing hope, building aspirations and empowering students and young people to a) see a light at the end of the tunnel - so they neverf give up on themselves; b) realise that they are not alone in their situations and there have been others before them; c) the difference is being empowered to... TELL IT!
Which is what this programme does, it empowers students and young people to... TELL IT so that they can access ALL the help and support they need to make the most of their learning opportunities!
